This 508 Hunt Cupboard and China Cabinet is a classic addition to any dining room. The china cabinet goes on top, making it look like just one piece of furniture.
We think it’s the English finish, and we’re pretty sure it was made in the 1970’s or 1980’s. Truth be told, we forgot to check before we loaded it up! We actually used a mirror and a flash light so we could give precise details, to no avail. (You should have been here!)
What we can tell you is that this Craftique vintage piece is in wonderful condition. You can see what a great display piece it is – and not just for your china. You can display your books, collections, curios, or photos, yet have them be protected from dust. You may not know that a ‘hunt chest’ or ‘hunt board’ is a piece of furniture originally designed to be used to serve food before or after a hunt. This one has drawers, shelves and working locks. You can store large serving pieces at the bottom, as there is no division.
Since we’re located in Mebane, where L. B. Best lived and made furniture, we have an advantage on finding his furniture. This piece is just part of the ever changing Craftique collection at The Curious Peddler.
Craftique pieces don’t stay in the store long! While we try to keep our website up to date, we can’t guarantee that items pictured are still on the floor. Contact us for availability and pricing.
