This beautiful vintage quilt has a terrific story – it was over 40 years in the making! The top was pieced together back in the 1940’s by an older woman in New Orleans. The original quilt designer never finished it. In 1988, one of our favorite quilters purchased the quilt top. She said it was such a shame to not use the gorgeous design for what it was intended!
We don’t know what pattern this is. (And yes, we asked the Peddler!) If you’re a quilter, can you help us find out? What’s your favorite way to identify a quilt pattern?
This quilt is on sale for $150, but we have a very strong feeling it won’t be in the store long. But stay tuned…we happen to know that another ‘redeemed’ quilt will be on display at the store really soon.
