November 16 and 17, come to the historic downtown Mebane’s annual Hometown Holiday Celebration, when all of the downtown merchants kick off the holiday season! The Curious Peddler will join the other businesses to give you a guaranteed great time of food, fun, prizes and fabulous entertainment.
The fun begins Friday at 10:00 am, and at 6:00 that night we’ll have the illumination of the Downtown Holiday Lights! There will be luminaries on the street, carriage rides, and even a marshmallow roast. Mebane Mayor Glendel Stephenson will light the tree in the Veteran’s Garden at 7:00, and Currie Clayton will provide the entertainment.
And if that’s not enough, there are events at each store. We’ll be giving a free gift to the first 50 shoppers, and will once again have live music – and give tastes of our amazing Christmas treats and beverages. (Speaking of which, our delicious sparkling cider is going fast, so come in and get yours while it lasts!)
Other merchants will be having drawings and contests for all sorts of things – Christmas baskets, fine art, gift certificates, and more!
