Mebane is known for its amazing downtown, its friendly atmosphere, and for the Mebane Antique Auction Gallery, which is just down the street on Highway 70. If you’re in town for the Country Store Auction, join some of your fellow bidders and pay a visit to The Curious Peddler.
Just like at the auction, you’ll find the same excitement of not knowing what you’re going to discover: first edition books, antique furniture, product memorabilia, vintage lamps. We recently acquired the contents of an old country store and several lifetime collections, and there is a treasure trove of Country Store items all through The Curious Peddler – in the General Store themed front window, upstairs, downstairs – and back stock! We will be putting out new pieces every day. If you have something that you’re particularly interested in – ask! There’s a good chance we have it, even if it’s not yet on display.
Note that the next collection to be revealed will be the contents of a lifelong pharmaceutical collection from a local druggist, and we’re still going through everything we have. You’re going to want to keep checking back with us!
