This rare Louis XV style hooded chair is the piece that will make any room. It’s sometimes called a porter’s chair, and sometimes a butler’s chair. With fabulous hand carved accents, intricate upholstery, down stuffed cushion and a pair of soft pillows, you feel cocooned in luxury. We estimate it is from the 1960’s or 1970’s, but it’s in wonderful, pristine condition.
When The Peddler saw this chair, she knew she had to have it. This piece is a rare find to be sure. Were it an antique model from the 1800’s, it would sell for $16,000. (Yes, we Googled to see!) Myer Gunther Martini produced this piece.
It would make a fabulous addition to your collection, and a cozy retreat for your home.
